9/11 Memorial Ceremony & Stadium Stair Climb

Thursday, September 11, 2026 • 8:00 AM

Flagler Credit Union Stadium — 777 Glades Rd, Boca Raton. Gathering point: Gate 1 flagpoles. Parking: Lot 5 (north side).

Hosted by the Florida Atlantic Police Department, Division of Student Affairs and FAU Army ROTC. The ceremony is followed by a fitness challenge in remembrance of the 2,976 lives lost on September 11, 2001 — a 10-round, 2,050-step ascent symbolizing the 110 floors climbed by First Responders in the World Trade Center towers. Team is going as a group: meet at Gate 1 by 7:40 AM in team gear. Bring a weight vest or field/duty gear if you want the extra challenge, plus proper attire and plenty of water. RSVP required.

Owls Community Skate & Youth Clinic

Boca Ice & Fine Arts Center

Players run stations for local youth hockey players, then open skate with Owl Nation families. Wear jerseys, sign autographs, be great ambassadors.

Red Reef Park, Boca Raton

Sand sprints, relay races and tug-of-war, then a team cookout. Bring water, sunscreen and a competitive attitude.

FAU Boca Campus — meet at the arena lot

Two-hour service block that counts toward the team's community service hours. Gloves and bags provided.

Alumni mixer, awards presentation and program fundraiser. Jacket and tie. Bring family and sponsors.

Academics

Study Hall & Team Dinner

Every Wednesday • 7:00 PM

FAU Library, 3rd floor group rooms

Mandatory for anyone under a 3.0. Food provided after the second hour. Bring the laptop and the notes.

Team events are part of the standard. If you can't make one, tell a coach in advance — don't just miss it.
